Communications and Signal Processing

Course Description

This course encourages students to develop in-depth knowledge and critical awareness of theoretical, as well as practical, solutions to problems at the forefront of the communication and processing of signals.

Communications and signal processing are closely intertwined, and together provide the basis of modern information engineering. Areas of application include:

3G/4G/LTE wireless networks
broadcast and computer communication
robotic vision
audio and video recording
radar and sonar detection
biomedical signal processing
computer vision
medical imaging
remote sensing

Entry Requirements

Our academic entry requirement is the equivalent of a UK First Class Honours degree in Electrical Engineering or a related subject. We would usually be looking for a high First Class Honours with a final year mark of 75%.
