MSc in Computing for Industry

Course Description

This part-time, modular programme provides opportunities for postgraduate students, who are already computing professionals and working in the IT industry, to extend their knowledge and understanding of current trends in computing while studying a flexible and varied curriculum in Computing, according to initial expertise.

Students are able to apply the techniques learned to real applications through the workplace individual project, which is supervised by an academic member of the Department.

The course is flexible with a choice of more than 30 taught modules

Individual programmes of study comprising eight modules and an individual project will be agreed with the Course Director. The project, supervised by an Imperial College staff member, is normally carried out at the workplace.

About half the modules on offer are at advanced level and require either mathematics or knowledge taught in the other modules. However, participants may be allowed to substitute previous relevant experience for one or more of the module prerequisites.
