Research Master in Social and Behavioral Sciences

Course Description

Are you an excellent student and interested in conducting scientific research in the social and behavioral sciences?

The two-year English-taught Research Master's program combines social, psychological, sociological, organizational, and methodological perspectives on the central theme Individual in Social Context. It is the only Research Master in the Netherlands that offers this interdisciplinary view on social behavior.
The program provides talented young researchers from all over the world with the tools they need to conduct fundamental scientific research in the field of social and behavioral sciences. During this program you will follow state-of-the-art courses, led by the best researchers in the field. You will be involved hands-on in their research area, actively participating in innovative projects and internships.

In the first year, all students start with the major Individual in Social Context (see Program overview). You choose one of the three minors at the moment of application:
1.Social Psychology
2. Social Sciences
3.Methodology and Statistics

Entry Requirements

In order to be accepted directly onto our Research Master’s program in Social and Behavioral Sciences, you will be required to have the following academic background: 1) A Bachelor’s and/or a Master’s degree; 2) Academic training in a relevant discipline e.g. psychology, sociology, organizational sciences, human resources; 3) An average score of 75% for the courses in the last two years of the Bachelor's program (or an equivalent score for the Master's program); 4) Strong motivation, excellent skills and sufficient talent for doing scientific research, which you should demonstrate in your letter of application and other application documents.

EEA citizens (Statutory fee): € 1,998; Non-EEA citizens (Institutional fee): € 14,000
