This programme provides a solid understanding of the accounting and strategic management issues involved in the business environment, and builds in-depth knowledge of the accounting background.
Graduates from this programme are likely to take up professional accounting training or managerial careers, in both the business and public sectors, or to continue study by research in related disciplines.
Five core modules are taken over semester 1 and semester 2:
International Accounting Standards International Management Accounting Competitive Strategy Strategic Change Research Methods
Three further modules are also taken from a wide range of options that include finance, law, accounting, and strategy. The MSc dissertation is then completed between May and August.
A good Honours degree (first or second class), or its non-UK equivalent, in a relevant subject from a recognised British or overseas university. Work or project experience in the area of finance will be of further advantage.
