This programme will develop a solid understanding of the finance and economic issues involved in environmental economic development and will improve students’ expertise and transferable skills in finance and environmental economics.
It will provide students with a critical understanding of the principal theories and concepts related to finance and environmental economics and detailed knowledge of one or more specialisms related to these subjects.
Five core modules are taken over semester 1 and semester 2:
International Finance Climate Change: Mitigation and Adaptation Environmental Energy and Economics Climate Change: Causes and Impacts Research Methods
Three further modules from a wide range of finance, accounting and economic options are also taken. The MSc dissertation is completed between May and August.
A good Honours degree (first or second class), or its non-UK equivalent, in a relevant subject from a recognised British or overseas university. Work or project experience in the area of finance will be of further advantage.
