MSc International Banking and Finance


Course Description

Edinburgh has a long and well-established reputation in banking and finance. This new programme covers the core theories and concepts particularly at the international level such as operations of the forex market, the international money market and the international credit market.

Ethical and professional issues relevant to the banking and financial industry will also be examined.

The programme has been developed to meet the needs of those seeking careers in the banking or finance divisions of national and international corporations across a variety of roles such as banker, stockbroker, tax consultant or financial advisor.

PROGRAMME CONTENT

Five core modules are taken:

International Finance
International Banking and Money Markets
International Banking Institutions and Regulatory Frameworks
Emerging Financial Markets
Research Methods

A further three modules are also taken from a wide range of Finance and Economics options.
