This postgraduate qualification will enhance your appreciation of the complex, strategic and operational management tools used in the events industry. Your knowledge will be supported by current global events theory, giving you the ability to solve executive problems.
By adopting a social science approach, you will explore and critique the operational and business issues within the sector and look for solutions at corporate business level. The social interaction of people within the wider environment will form the basis to how you approach a variety of concepts.

Teaching and assessment
Lectures, seminars and fieldwork will provide opportunities for you to explore concepts relevant to your study and you will also be analysing case studies as a way to understand the link between theory and sector practice.
You will be assessed in a variety of ways to encourage you to develop a range of skills. These include essays and reports, investigative fieldwork, case study analysis and presentations.

Global Meetings and Events Management MAA good honours degree or equivalent from a recognised institution. Global Meetings and Events Management PGDipA degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution or at least five years’ management experience in a relevant field with appropriate academic qualifications. UCB’s standard English language requirement for postgraduate study will apply (IELTS 6.0 or equivalent).
