Postgraduate Open Event and Workshop

Postgraduate Information Event - Thursday 4th July 2020

Kent, a top 20 UK research university, is holding a Postgraduate Information Event at our Canterbury campus where you can learn about the range of taught and research degrees offered at all Kent’s locations in the UK and specialist centres in Brussels, Paris, Athens and Rome.

Kent has a wide range of subjects, most of which are available full or part-time and some by distance and blended learning. Our programmes are informed by the latest research so students can develop career-focused skills and knowledge relevant to today’s issues; 92% of our 2017 graduates went on to employment or further study within 6 months of graduation

University of Kent Open Day

Book your place to:

  • Talk to the funding team about the £12m Postgraduate Scholarship Fund which includes taught and research student scholarships, location-specific awards, sport and music scholarships, and funding specifically for students who pay overseas fees
  • Learn about the Graduate Teaching Assistantship scheme whereby postgraduate research students receive financial support in return for teaching
  • Meet academic staff to discuss your study plans and current students to hear what it’s like to study at Kent
  • Discover Kent’s inspirational locations: Canterbury, Medway, Paris, Brussels, Athens, Rome and Tonbridge and the programmes offered there
  • Hear from the Dean of the Graduate School and meet staff from Student Support, Accommodation and more
  • Book a workshop on how to design a good research proposal, particularly important if you are about to apply for Research Council or other funding for your PhD.

Canterbury is quick and easy to reach from London and within easy access of the rest of the UK and Europe via the high speed train and Eurostar, there will be lots of parking available too.
