The MRes Biomechanics course focuses on developing research expertise, with a project conducted over the entire year of study. The aim is to develop and submit work of publishable quality. Current practical, technical and research skills are embedded in the course to reflect the needs of sport-related careers and industry but it is also a great stepping stone to a PhD.
You’ll learn a strong complement of applied and research skills, balanced with how to communicate key information to relevant sport industry partners.

The Centre for Water Advanced Technologies and Environmental Research (CWATER) research areas, broadly speaking, fit into one of three categories:
- Drinking water treatment: improved methods of portable water treatment, with a view to meeting tightening regulations at cheaper capital and operating costs.
- Waste-water treatment: technologies for the efficient removal of environmentally harmful materials and thus reduced emissions per output of discharge.

Medical Engineering is the application of engineering principles to both the human body and to a broad range of instrumentation used in modern medicine.
The courses at Swansea University draw on the exciting medical research that is taking place within the College of Engineering and the College of Medicine. The research success in the two colleges led to the creation of the £22 million Centre for NanoHealth (CNH), a unique facility linking engineering and medicine.
