Our program is designed to prepare degree holders from any academic discipline to work as managers in a broad array of business areas in domestic and international organizations of any size. No Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), no business experience, no prerequisite courses are required – just your bachelor’s degree and the desire to find your place in the world of business management.

This program covers what every business wants in every manager: leadership, communication skills, numeracy, creativity, analytic ability, problem-solving skills, teamwork and strategic planning abilities. You’ll gain the knowledge, skills and experience necessary to manage the human, physical and financial resources, and complex strategic and practical management issues of international and domestic businesses.

The first year covers a breadth of fundamental business knowledge and skill areas; the second year expands on that base with a variety of more complex and strategic international and global courses that have equal application in both international and domestic businesses, making this a truly global business management program.

Work Placement

The work placement has two components, and occurs across industry sectors including professional sport associations, community and amateur sport governing bodies, and private sector sport organizations. The placement provides valuable experience and industry contacts. During the placement, you will work closely with a placement supervisor to develop job skills that are needed for future employment success. The first component of the placement is concurrent with coursework and is a minimum of 210 hours. The second component of the placement is six weeks in length and a minimum of 35 hours per week.

Your Career

Upon graduation, you will be prepared to begin working as a sport business professional. Employment opportunities exist in professional sport, amateur sport, sporting goods, sport facilities, college and university sport, sport communications, event management, and sport marketing.

Study Abroad

Qualified students are eligible to undertake a study abroad service learning trip which provides rewarding experiences and opportunities to do community service across the globe.

This trip operates annually in May and is 10 to 15 days in length.
