Postgraduate students in Swansea will enjoy living in a historic city with easy access to other parts of the pleasant South Wales region. Though much of its growth occurred in the 19th century, Swansea retains many features of its earlier history, including the remains of Swansea Castle, which form an attractive centrepiece near the city centre.

The nearby coastline is particularly popular with tourists and includes some of Britain’s most picturesque beaches as well as walking routes around the hills and cliffs of the Gower Peninsula. Regular train connections run to Cardiff and onward to London, making it easy and convenient to visit other parts of southern England and Wales.
