We've been helping students find the right postgraduate course for over a decade.
The School of Science and Technology at NTU is a world leader in research with an outstanding record for teaching excellence. Our state-of-the-art facilities and career-focused approach to course design provide the right conditions for postgraduates to succeed in their chosen field.
All our research units were rated as internationally recognised in the last Research Assessment Exercise (2008) which included research rated as world-leading in Unit of Assessment 12 (research in Biomedical Sciences), placing it amongst the top 15 of all universities in the UK according to national league tables.
The School has a thriving postgraduate community and places great emphasis on supporting our students with the right equipment, dedicated resources and appropriate training.
All of our postgraduate courses incorporate training in professional skills and Research Methods, and most of our Science courses offer opportunities to carry out research projects in industry or at other research institutes.
NTU is one of the few universities in the UK to offer paid industry placements on MSc courses. The placements we offer to postgraduates studying MSc courses last up to one year and are sandwiched within the Masters degree.
They enable students to gain vital experience in the workplace and develop important skills while
pursuing an academic specialism. We offer extensive support in obtaining a relevant placement, including language support for international students.
