We've been helping students find the right postgraduate course for over a decade.
The School of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Portsmouth conducts wide-raging and internationally recognised research. We have research groups working in areas such as drug delivery, drug safety, pharmacy practice, molecular medicine, natural products, neuropharmacology, neuroscience and oncology.
Allied Health Professions and Studies is one of the University’s strongest areas of research. In the most recent Research Assessment Exercise (RAE), the University of Portsmouth was rated as ‘internationally excellent or world-leading’ and we rank top three for funding in England in this subject area. The School receives research funding from institutions such as the Department of Health, MRC, BBSRC, the Royal Society, the Association for International Cancer Research, the World Cancer Research Fund, the Humane Research Trust, the Leverhulme Trust and the Nuffield Foundation.
With their support, we have made a considerable investment in equipment and laboratories over the past five years,
strengthening our infrastructure and providing a thriving research environment for our postgraduate research students.
