A 5 Star Law School
Queen Mary has an international reputation in teaching and research and one of only eight UK law schools to be awarded a 5 Star grading for research of international excellence in the Government's last Research Assessment Exercise. The Guardian recently rated us 5th amongst UK law schools, and the Times 15th.
The School of Law consists of the Department of Law and the Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS). The School of Law is based at Lincoln's Inn Fields, Mile End and Charterhouse Square.
The Queen Mary, University of London LLM is offered by the School of Law (comprising staff members from the Department of Law and the Centre for Commercial Law Studies). LLM administration is based at Lincoln's Inn Fields.
Undergraduate teaching takes place exclusively at Mile End and is the prime responsibility of the Department of Law which, in addition to its LLM teaching, also runs a number of MA and MSc courses.
Most postgraduate teaching, including the LLM, a range of MScs, Certificates, Diplomas and distance learning programmes in commercial law areas takes place at Lincoln's Inn Fields and is administered by CCLS.
Research degree supervision is subject specific and may be provided by staff in either the Department of Law or CCLS. Prospective students should view both sites before making the appropriate contact.
