The School of Politics and International Relations is a broad-based, vibrant and growing School of scholars, all active in research and publication. Our interests include political theory and thought, contemporary British politics, European politics (East and West), Latin American politics, nationalism, the politics of the Middle East, conflict management and regime transition, the politics of democratisation, political communication and media policy, environmental politics, migration, public policy and political economy, and international relations.
We offer postgraduate programmes in International Relations, International Public Policy, Public Policy, and MSc International Business and Politics.
We provide close supervision and monitoring of our research students, who are part of an intellectually challenging and stimulating environment, in which they have opportunities for interaction with other students and staff across the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, which has an excellent research track record. As a student, you are welcome to attend various events and seminars within the School.
The central London campus puts students at the heart of a global hub for politics, business and culture – helping our graduates to secure jobs at influential organisations across the public and private sector, from UK Government and Civil Service to national charities and international companies.
