Why study a Masters in Probation?

## Probation is a key step in helping ex-criminals to become safe, sensible members of society. Courses encourage you to explore a range of counselling and mentoring techniques to support individuals through this transitional phase. Depending on your interests, you may wish to specialise in the kinds of individuals you work with, from young offenders through to adult and elderly offenders, as well as those suffering from psychological disorders and other vulnerable people. Traditional careers include forensic roles, but may also involve community support work, public administration and policy-making.
