We have 8 Centre for Alternative Technology, Graduate School of the Environment Masters Degrees

Established in 1973, the Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) is a leading centre of excellence in the field of sustainability and renewable energy education. Our postgraduate courses are respected across the world, providing a big-picture, integrated approach to sustainability. We inspire changemakers to take action for a sustainable future and work with people and communities to inspire, inform and enable us all to work together to make practical solutions for sustainability.

Our masters courses at CAT offer practical and rigorous academic study, flexibility and are beautifully located. Students learn immersively through a mixture of residential and distance or entirely by distance. The flexible modular nature of our degrees is ideally suited for students who have a job or family commitments.

Residential study happens at CAT which is on the boundary of Snowdonia National Park in Wales and our teaching takes place in CAT's award-winning, sustainable complex, the Wales Institute for Sustainable Education.
