This industry focused programme is specifically designed for graduates from computing disciplines to take the next step and hone their skills to meet contemporary industrial and commercial needs by studying essential core subjects and specialist, modern, in-demand areas.

This course is intended for graduates from computing disciplines who wish to update or focus their computing skills and competencies for effective work within the computing industry.

What Will You Study?

All modules are core. As with most masters programmes this has 2 parts, a taught part followed by a dissertation.

Students study 6 core modules of 20 credits each, followed by a 60 credit dissertation, making a total of 180 credits.

For the Networking modules assessment is through a range of individual and group work and coursework techniques including; practical work, on-line tests, reports on lab-based problems, and assignments using case studies

Featuring rigorous computer programming and database elements, the course is accompanied by a variety of compulsory modules providing the core knowledge to be an effective practitioner in the computing industry. These are combined with optional modules covering additional specialised subjects.

You will complete a project during the summer which will typically involve the design and implementation of a significant piece of software.
