Increase your skills in reflection, analysis and critical debate, as well as developing your knowledge base to match pace with current developments. With our emphasis on self-directed learning, you’ll be expected to read around the subject and actively engage in face-to-face and online tasks. You’ll learn through a mixture of lectures followed by small group work, and tutorials to support your development. You will benefit from assessment by written coursework with no written exams. In some modules, where there are skills components, there may be a practical assessment. The MSc Advanced Professional Practice (Physiotherapy) postgraduate programme is based in the School of Health Professions. The physiotherapy pathway will have at least one pathway specific module related to the title of the award but share four core modules (applying evidence to practice, developing self and others, project design for research, research dissertation) with the MSc Advanced Professional Practice programme. The pathways also share a range of programme optional modules, giving you flexibility and choice. All modules are subject to minimum numbers. The programme offers awards of postgraduate certificate (PgCert) - 60 credits, postgraduate diploma (PgDip) - 120 credits, and masters degree (MSc) - 180 credits.
