The Master in Economics continues the pioneering tradition of the Master in Economics created 20 years ago by the consortium Coripe Piemonte. That program, the first of its kind in Italy, prepared many bright Italian and foreign students, who now hold prominent academic or professional jobs in Italy or abroad. The new Master program in Economics builds on the strengths of the previous program and, at the same time, has been reshaped in order to compete with similar successful Master programs in Europe.
The Master in Economics endows its graduates with an excellent working knowledge of the analytic tools and advanced methodologies required for the study of current issues in Economics. The courses are taught in English by the faculty of the Collegio recruited from the best schools on the international academic job market. In addition to their coursework, master students interact with the faculty, fellows, visiting fellows and researchers of the Collegio. They have access to the Collegio’s facilities and scientific activities, such as seminars, lectures, and doctoral courses.
The program has an excellent placement record. Previous graduates either enrolled in the best American and European PhD programs and now have academic jobs in top universities in the United States and in Europe, or hold prominent positions in a wide variety of Italian and international organizations.
Applicants for the Master program in Economics must be university graduates (four- or five- year degree). Undergraduates in their last year of studies will also be considered.
