Integrated. Inter-disciplinary. Applied.

Supply chain management (SCM) is about bringing an integrated approach to operations management, logistics, procurement, and information technology to manage materials, inventory and goods from their points of origin to their points of consumption.

Our program provides students with an inter-disciplinary perspective, exposing them to a number of business and engineering areas, including marketing, industrial engineering, statistics, finance, change and stakeholder management and information systems.

Why MSCM at JMSB?

-Our inter-disciplinary approach goes beyond looking at SCM from a strictly logistics-based perspective.
-We integrate all the supply chain stakeholders into our investigation of SCM: multi-tier suppliers, focal company, subcontractors, outsourced companies, business partners and customers, including distributors, wholesalers, retailers and ultimate consumers.
-An applied focus in SCM teaching and research is maintained throughout the program. A real-life SCM problem in the field will be tackled within the context of an applied research project.

Who is this program for?

Students from a wide range of backgrounds are welcomed to this program: supply chain management majors and minors, all other business and economics majors, as well as all engineering and science disciplines.

Where will this program lead to?

Graduates from our program will be particularly well positioned for careers in consulting, manufacturing, retail, logistics, distribution and software, as companies over the world are increasingly leveraging supply chain expertise to gain competitive advantage. The program will also provide a springboard for those students wishing to pursue a PhD.

Ivey’s 16-month MSc Program is a transformational experience for recent grads, like you, who want to hone their skill sets, develop their leadership abilities and kickstart their careers. Choose a specialization that will build on the foundation of your undergraduate degree and give you the deeper knowledge and practical experience that will set you apart.

The Ivey MSc addresses the need for a new brand of manager — experts who understand what defines a business best practice and can translate that knowledge into action.

Are you...
· A recent university graduate with less than two years of work experience?
· Looking to develop specialized knowledge and new skill sets?
· Seeking real-world experiences to expand your career prospects?

What is an MSc?

Ivey’s MSc is a Master of Science in Management; one common misconception is that this is a traditional science program. The MSc in Management incorporates deeper levels of understanding about management practices through applied research and analysis, which is where it derives its scientific lean.

You can find more information by taking a lot at the information in our brochure: https://www.ivey.uwo.ca/cmsmedia/3536192/msc-brochure.pdf

Ivey’s Experiential Learning

Case learning is complemented by academic readings, guest speakers, corporate-led workshops, consulting projects, real-world labs, and skills seminars.

Ivey Labs – Real-World Experiences

As an Ivey MSc student, you will participate in an eight to 10-week real-world work experience, also known as an Ivey MSc Lab. Each of the three MSc streams has its own lab, which will provide you with a professional placement where you can apply and complement your in-class learning.

Ivey Prerequisite Program

The Ivey Prerequisite Program is an intensive four-week course that begins prior to the start of the first term. It is designed for those who have an undergraduate degree in any discipline, including business, but lack some of the business studies prerequisite courses.
