The current economic situation is marked by a serious crisis and affects all levels of our lives, either within a social perspective as well as from an entrepreneurial and political point of view. The historical period we live in will be certainly remembered for a long time, partly for being longer than the initial 2007 predictions, and partly for the seriousness of the recession itself. Within this context and at a company level, immobility becomes incompatible with survival.

Foreign Trade is one of the ways out. Out of the few companies that are getting around the crisis, many of them feature a greater international orientation, this decision being made a long time ago, when the economy worked differently.

Unluckily, and right when it is mostly needed, not all companies are ready to face the global market, and the challenges come at the worst possible time in terms of investing capacity, among other critical aspects. Within this context, inexperience also plays against it, and this natural uncertainty that is affecting quality in such a complex way does not help decision-making processes.

Regardless, Foreign Trade presence is no longer an option and rather becomes an obligation. Globalization being the reason behind it. Hence it is time to take a further step and open up to foreign trade if we want to have a future at an entrepreneurial level.

How do you start, though? How to acquire strength? What are the risks and how to deal with them? The Master in Internationalization of Companies and Access to New Markets has been set up to be a contribution, a set path and a turning point to all those entrepreneurs and professionals who have to find answers to such questions as well as having to make decisions within the exercise of their responsibilities.

The Master in Internationalization of Companies and Access to New Markets will provide you with the necessary tools to implement nationalization in your own company. The target of such program is:

To step up company internationalization and to promote foreign trade activities.
To develop a wide perspective and comprehension framework of all the aspects integrating entrepreneurial relations at an international level.
To provide professionals and companies with practical and useful tools and guidelines, from both a strategic and operational point of view, aimed at managing the internationalization challenge in a secure and successful way.
To serve as an engine and turning point for companies and professionals to carry out their internationalization plan, especially small and medium enterprises.
To bring in solutions in all sectors involved, from both a commercial (trading, documentation, payment methods, risk protection) and operational point of view (logistics and global operations).
To mean a quality and personal improvement for all participants, and to contribute to the development of their technical skills, as well as for them to be able to grow at a personal and managing level. Such aspects will be key for them to carry out their company tasks.
To raise professional and entrepreneurial concern in relation to international trade activities.

Target

All entrepreneurs and SME Managers whose goal is to achieve their company internationalization and open up to foreign markets. Directors, Chief Executives and Department Managers having previous work experience and motivation to extend their leading skills within a global business framework.

Middle Management coming from different company departments with management experience, and interested in expanding their professional skills, developing their entrepreneurial perspective and professionally promoting themselves.

Creative cultural industries -the performing arts, music and the audiovisual and publishing industries- are based on a combination of creativity and production. Today these are cultural sectors which are growing rapidly, and this will continue into the future.

Professionals in these sectors should be aware of the work processes linked both to creation -theatre companies, dance, music, production- as well as the management and production of shows, festivals, cultural facilities and commercial products for material or digital production. For that reason, they need not only great sensitivity with regards to artistic creation and a knowledge of new trends, but also knowledge of the management tools that will allow them to design viable projects and companies.

This Postgraduate Degree in the Management of Creative Cultural Industries, taught in English, offers this double perspective: it covers the analysis of the creative cultural industries sector, and the specific work processes it involves, as well as providing the specific tools to manage culture.

The management of museums, monuments and cultural heritage requires professionals to have specific knowledge related to the conservation, documentation, exhibition and dissemination of museum collections and cultural heritage. However, along with this, it is also essential that professionals are familiar with cultural management work processes: administering financial resources, designing and programming projects, marketing and communication strategies as well as the legal issues related to museums, heritage and intellectual property.

Cultural managers who are specialised in museums and cultural heritage should identify the potential of their heritage-related resources and combine this, on the one hand, with the needs and background of the potential audience, and, on the other hand, with the human and financial resources available to them, with the aim of designing policies and dissemination programmes for heritage which contribute to the cultural, social and economic development of the community which they find themselves in.

This programme is taught in Spanish.
