This two-year programme combines the strengths of the MA History of Art and Archaeology of East Asia with intensive language training in Japanese or Korean.
This two-year full-time (or four-year part-time) programme is designed to provide Intensive Language training at different proficiency levels - depending on entry level - within a Masters programme in Korean Studies.
The History of Art and Archaeology at SOAS is taught from an alternative perspective to Eurocentric art history, challenging the categories often taken for granted in the study of other cultures, and so encouraging new approaches to look at the distinctions between archaeology and art history and historical past and present.
