The purpose of the programme is to provide the essential knowledge, understanding and skills required for graduates to begin to operate competently and effectively within international business and management environment at entry/middle-level management positions. It is a 1 year full time programme (2 years part time), which is delivered on our single-site campus, but depending on students' interests it may contain work-based international business research project over summer.

Our students came from many countries: all parts of the UK, Japan, China, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Eritrea, Cameroon, Nigeria, South Africa, Russia, Ukraine, Armenia, France, Spain. They all bring a wealth of cultural experience and global perspectives to the classroom; many of them already have Business projects in their home countries and internationally – we hope that Leeds Trinity graduates are making a difference across the globe.

Benefits of International Business

Students will study theoretical foundations of International business and will explore a breadth of real-life case studies and industry experiences together with our lecturers, who all have significant Industry experience having worked for major international companies, like Nestle, Bacardi-Martini, Procter & Gamble and McKinsey & Co.

Additionally, students may tap into a network of industry guest speakers from Coca-Cola, Google and suppliers to major car manufacturing companies (Toyota, Honda, Land Rover). Students doing our "Starting & Growing your own Business" module will receive further support from business mentors at our Enterprise Centre, where they can actually start their own company.

This programme is suitable for progressing undergraduate and experienced/mature students looking for an international professional career in the area of global business and management.

We are particularly proud of the fact that 95% of our graduates are employed or continue their further studies, even in such difficult economic times. Some of our students have decided to start their own Businesses and are acting as Company Directors - three years in a row our students have won "Young Entrepreneur of the Year/HRH Duke of York" Awards.

On graduation, you may join large international companies operating in the UK and globally. In the past, our graduates have been appointed to join organisations such as L'Oreal, Asda Walmart, Lloyds Bank, Santander, the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development as well as Marriott Hotels and Shell in marketing, sales and other functions.

The MA in Sport Management aims to provide the opportunity for graduates and practitioners in sport and sport management related professions to engage in critical and intellectually rigorous investigation of the process of sport management from strategic planning through to practical implementation, in order to contribute to personal and career development.

The course is unique in that it emphasises the applied nature of learning in sport management and allows students to draw upon their own vocational experiences and encourages them to apply the findings of the academic discipline in the workplace. The course has been designed alongside the requirements of employers and professional bodies in the area of sport management.

Benefits of Sport Management

- The course is aimed at both graduates aspiring to work in the sports industry and at current sports professionals seeking to acquire the skills to achieve management positions.
- Students may study full time (1 year) or part time (2 years).
