The Master in Fashion Direction: Brand & Communication Management goal is designed for students desiring to work inside the processes of communication, advertising and promotion of fashion brands, on different levels: product, brand, corporate, events, with a thorough knowledge of all the main business tools, from the press and PRs tools, to the digital tools, as well as printed traditional advertising.

Managing communication tools starting from the company DNA, heritage and strategy. From cultural knowledge, to management skills.

In terms of didactical activity, besides lectures leaded by the excellent Faculties of Bocconi University, Polytechnic of Milan and Cattolica Universities, there will be also field laboratories and projects, where students will continuously interact with the leading Italian and international fashion companies (among them, Gucci Group, Gianni Versace, Giorgio Armani, La Rinascente, Hugo Boss, Jil Sander, Levi’s, Max Mara Fashion Group, Miroglio Fashion Group, Ralph Lauren, Roberto Cavalli, Valentino Fashion Group, Vivienne Westwood). Field projects, the most compelling part of the Master’s experience, are led by teachers and tutors, on a specific brief by companies’ executive of solutions to collections’ development issues or of developing new business strategies, and are preparatory to the final internship activity.

The Master in Brand Management and Communication, now at the 13th edition, provides the alternation of lectures, tutorials, case studies, workshops and projects in partnerships with companies, individual or group projects.

The course has a close link with the professional world through the work developed between partners and teaching staff, composed of a team of professionals from major companies, agencies and consulting firms, providing the students with an intense and interactive curriculum, of increasing complexity.

Teaching methodology considers the different stages of the process: from building of brand equity, defining values, positioning and planning marketing activities, to the actions aimed at the growth and support of the brand, with the analysis of branding strategies and trends and development.

Participants explore the various areas of the construction project and strategic communication of the brand, through the study of skills in various functions: Brand Manager, Account, Strategic Planner, Media Research Planner, Copy and Art.

At the end of the pathway, in a dedicated unit, the course examines the actions of self marketing: from the tools necessary to make a self-presentation through the appropriate instruments (video card, Web), to the techniques of public speech.

In previous editions, the projects were developed in collaboration with Jacuzzi - development project of the new brand Jacuzzi SPA; Ducati - Brand stretching on target millennials worldwide; Aiutare I Bambini - brand repositioning; Bellavita - guideline development of brands; Cottoveneto - assessment and brand positioning worldwide; Prénatal - assessment and brand positioning worldwide; Boscolo Hotels - assessment and brand experience; Nestle '/ Buitoni - assessment and re-launching the brand in Italy; Diesel - 55DSL - assessment and strategic guidelines; Max Mara - branding green field on the brand Sportmax and person; Pomellato - global digital branding strategy; Campari - Mix Campari brand relaunch; Piaggio - branding and development of smart mobility ecosystem; Ferrero - brand stretching brand on target millennials worldwide and developing new product line.

During the previous editions of the programme students enjoyed, among others, the following visiting: Google, Technogym, Campari.

The Master is organized in two editions, the first in November in Italian, the second in February in English.

Overview

The Master in Creative Advertising is a joint educational program developed by NABA Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti Milano and Media Design School, New Zealand, and is strongly oriented to all creative aspects of contemporary advertising scenario.

Students will be challenged by leading companies and experts with workshop briefs on the creative side of today’s advertising processes and methodologies. Since the beginning, from terminology to best practices, students will develop core skills in consumer insight and research methodology, idea and strategy building, copywriting, story telling and art direction, in order to create real and innovative advertising campaigns, across different types of media and with a learn-by-doing approach.

During the course, all students will have the chance to conduct an intra-curricular internship and conclude the program with a final master project which will complete their own individual portfolio.

Candidates holding a first-level academic diploma or BA degree, or about to graduate and with a knowledge of the English language
