Why Study International Hospitality Management at Griffith College?

Our MSc in International Hospitality Management is available on both a full and part-time basis over a 1-2 Year Period. The purpose of the course is to provide practical training to equip students with the necessary hospitality service skills to assist them in their future careers.

Students will gain knowledge and understanding of key areas of business management.

Students will up-skill in key tourism and hospitality disciplines such as revenue management, convention and event management, sports and leisure management, health and well-being tourism, and sustainable tourism policy and planning

A flexible study model gives students the option of either full-time or part-time study with the possibility of choosing their own elective modules.

Students have the opportunity to further their studies by enrolling on our internationally recognised MBA in International Business.

A highly practical learning approach taught by a Graduate Business School lecturing team with outstanding industry experience.

Course structure

The MSc has three stages:

Stage 1 - Semester 1 of the Postgraduate Diploma in International Tourism and Hospitality Management
Stage 2 - Postgraduate Diploma in International Tourism and Hospitality Management
Stage 3 - MSc Dissertation in International Tourism and Hospitality Management

Year one core modules:

• Management Accounting and Control

• Globalisation and Corporate Responsibility
• International Strategy
• Strategic Human Resource Management
• Business Research Methods

Year two core modules:

• MSc Dissertation in International Tourism and Hospitality Management

The programme is designed to prepare graduates for rewarding careers in tourism management, tourism development, tourism planning and policy analysis.

The MA in International Tourism is a one-year, full-time programme. Lectures & exams are delivered over two semesters (September-May), plus a further period of 4 months for completion of the research dissertation. Normally the deadline for submission of dissertation is 30 September, which enables students to complete the programme in 12 months.

Part-time option: part-time students are expected to complete the MA programme over a two-year period with lectures being delivered one day per week (Monday-Friday) between the hours of 09h00-18h00 in each semester.

International students, whose native (spoken) language is not English will be required to submit evidence of proficiency in the English language through a recognised testing mechanism.
