Our courses across all four faculties receive continual input from leading employers and professional bodies and are underpinned by academic expertise.

Students are able to start their studies across multiple intakes, including a January intake. We also offer a range of alternative methods of study including part-time and Distance Learning courses to suit your lifestyle.

De Montfort University's faculty of Arts, Design and Humanities brings together the world leading research, award-winning work, and innovative thinking of the university's creative disciplines. Leicester Castle Business School (LCBS)
LCBS takes an innovative approach to learning by giving high-calibre students from around the world the skills needed to succeed professionally. Our courses have been designed with employability in mind - you will learn from experienced academics and business and industry leaders who bring their wealth of knowledge to their teaching and will challenge you to think critically and globally. You will also have access to high levels of support to help you prepare for your future career.

Leicester De Montfort Law School
Since its formation in 1989, Leicester De Montfort Law School has provided the training needs of those entering the legal profession. The School offers you individual career advice, support and the opportunity to be involved in pro bono work. All the while learning in a friendly and nurturing environment, with a dedicated team boasting practical experience and invaluable links with both commercial and traditional practices.

Facilities
As part of your postgraduate degree, you will have access to our purpose-built Hugh Aston Building, equipped with lecture theatres and classrooms, break-out spaces for group work, quiet study zones for individual work and IT labs. This includes access to financial databases in our Trading Room and a dedicated law environment complete with its own mock courtroom, client interviewing room and an integrated law library.

Our building, the Yard, is a new extension designed to enhance your learning experience with large and airy breakout spaces and a top-floor balcony.

The Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Media is home to three academic Schools: the School of Computer Science and Informatics; the School of Engineering and Sustainable Development; and Leicester Media School.

School of Computer Science and Informatics

Study a curriculum that has been designed with, and is supported by, industry partners such as SAS and the Industrial Advisory Group (Airbus, BT, Deloitte UK and Rolls-Royce). DMU has been named a gold standard ‘Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Education’ by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) – part of GCHQ – who have also certified our Cyber Security MSc.

Learn from research-active experts and develop your practical and professional skills in specialist laboratories. You will benefit from a team of supportive in-house technicians and the expertise of sector-leading research groups such as the Institute of Artificial Intelligence, the Cyber Technology Institute and the Centre for Computing and Social Responsibility.

School of Engineering and Sustainable Development

All of our postgraduate Engineering courses are accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).
Engage with a curriculum that keeps pace with research, and benefit from the expertise of sector-leading research groups such as the Institute of Energy and Sustainable Development and the Institute of Engineering Sciences. Sustainable engineering features high on our agenda, with research projects including the development of advanced silicon memory cells for the next generation of data storage, prosthetic limbs with recycled plastic as a source material and houses insulated using re-tasked plastic bottles.

Leicester Media School

Leicester Media School postgraduate courses are designed to give you the skills you need to work in the thriving media and music industries landscape, whether your passions lie in film production, investigative journalism or music technology and innovation. You will learn from research-active academics with extensive industry experience, and stay at the forefront of the latest industry trends and techniques by attending guest lectures and skills workshops. The largest of four faculties at De Montfort University Leicester (DMU), the faculty of Health and Life Sciences brings together high-quality education, industry links and specialist teaching delivered by research-active academics across four Schools. Our strong links with professional bodies and employer confederations provide an important part of our quality assurance process; with many of our programmes accredited or endorsed by a recognised professional body, as well as some programmes created and delivered with industry input. We offer industry-standard facilities along with cutting-edge technologies, helping to take your professional learning to the next level. Our ethos within The Leicester School of Allied Health Science is to develop students into caring practitioners who think critically and apply evidence-based practice, helping to develop your research and investigative skills. With a reputation of more than 104 years of experience in pharmacy teaching, The Leicester School of Pharmacy boasts professional accreditation from the General Pharmaceutical Council as well as strong industry links with sector leaders including GlaxoSmithKline, Pfizer and AstraZeneca. By encouraging interdisciplinary working we can help ensure your learning is relevant to current industry practice. Our range of courses within the Social Science school is designed for professional practitioners seeking to develop their knowledge and understanding of both their area of specialism and the rapidly changing contexts in which they work. The Leicester School of Nursing and Midwifery has more than 50 years teaching experience, with accreditations by the Nursing and Midwifery Council, the Health and Care Professions Council, College of Paramedicine and the Royal College of General Practitioners, you can tailor your learning to boost your career.
