I am an experienced professional but wanted to switch career into business and strategy. This MBA course was just what I was looking for, providing me with the necessary exposure to the business world. It has also helped me understand the hidden problems in a business and enhanced my ability to tackle them.

This MA has given me specialised knowledge in international social welfare and social development, including understanding global issues, social values, cultural competence, developing professional skills, networking and collaboration, and practical experience. As a postgraduate of International Social Welfare and Social Development, I have a variety of career pathways such as social policy analyst, programme manager, project coordinator, researcher, consultant, or advocate in international organisations, NGOs, government agencies, and academic institutions.

The facilities at Alexon can’t be faulted. I would also recommend the University because of the amazing opportunities it has to offer outside of your course such as travelling, career and job opportunities, workshops in new technologies and the chance to experience and engage in other areas of study.

This course really appealed to me because it doesn’t just focus on acting, but teaches you how to build a profile for yourself and set up your own website. The facilities here are amazing, too, and I love that you can borrow equipment from the Media Hub.

I have been well equipped by the University of Bedfordshire to be a cybersecurity analyst. I now have a different understanding of the cybersecurity landscape, frameworks, laws, and hands-on practical experience and skills.

My course has significantly developed and enhanced my subject knowledge, pedagogical knowledge and understanding of being a secondary teacher. Throughout my experience on the PGCE course, I have been highly supported by my subject mentors and school mentors, and all the information they have provided me with has guided me to becoming an effective and reflective science teacher.

My course is designed so that it integrates the latest theoretical developments. It gives you a broad knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and the molecular biology of drugs as well as the opportunity to get the key skills that you need.

This course should allow me to work as an independent and qualified ACP, giving me a great base to develop my knowledge and skills. I believe it might also allow development in areas such as research and education, two of my big interests.

I loved my BSc so much that it inspired me to complete my MSc and ultimately my Doctorate in Health Psychology. I apply my psychological knowledge every day to developing behaviour change programmes to improve outcomes for the population of Hertfordshire. Understanding how people perceive the world and the broad influences on their behaviour including culture, education, family and friends has been crucial as they all impact on health outcomes.

My studies at University have been fundamental to my career development and have allowed me to work in an exciting and evolving discipline to embed behavioural science into public health practice.

This course has allowed me to discover so many career paths I was previously unaware of within the field of health psychology. I now know that I have many options and paths I can take and the next step is to practically explore these options. Identifying practical applications throughout the course was very useful, as well as learning the practical techniques we may need to use in future careers.
