We've been helping students find the right postgraduate course for over a decade.
We believe that a postgraduate education is not just about getting a great degree, but also broadening your experiences, preparing yourself for your chosen career, and making lifelong friendships. Whether you are coming directly from your undergraduate degree or have been out of education for a few years, you will have plenty of opportunities to get involved with University life both academically and socially.
We make sure that all of our courses are focused on enhancing career skills. This is why official surveys show we are one of the leading London universities for graduate employment, with 98% of our postgraduate students in work or further study six months after leaving us (Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education Results, 2016/17).
We want to make sure your experience prepares you for today’s job market. Our campus is equipped with extensive facilities to enable you to get the most out of your postgraduate studies, including purpose-built teaching rooms and modern seminar spaces. We have a range of specialist facilities including professional studios and theatres for dance and drama, a brand new media centre that houses editing suites for film, photography and media, newsrooms and a cinema, and state-of-the-art specialist laboratories for our science courses
Our library contains over 1,200 study spaces and hundreds of thousands of books across nearly 8,000 metres of shelving. The library offers online access to academic journals and databases, a dedicated collection for Education students, silent study rooms on the top floor overlooking the lake, and dedicated spaces for postgraduate and research students.
Starting a postgraduate course can be daunting, so we support you from the moment you arrive. You will be assigned a personal tutor who will provide you with academic advice. In addition, you will have access to a wide range of free, personalised services, such as welfare advice, counselling, specialist mental health support, a chaplaincy service and an onsite medical centre. We also provide a wide range of support for people with disabilities and dyslexia.
Our departments offer a range of activities and events from symposiums and conferences to lectures by guest speakers. Our Students’ Union hosts a calendar of social events offering you the chance to play sport or music, gain useful skills and meet and socialise with new people.
From open days to campus tours, there are many ways for you to visit our campus and find out more about studying at Roehampton.
