This intensive program aims to broaden your knowledge of social structures and processes in a historical-comparative framework, including social theory, migration, religion, ethnicity, cultural policies, gender, class, globalization, modernity, urban development and state research.
With a strong, extensive research component, this program is recommended as a stepping stone for PhD studies for candidates interested in global and urban issues, particularly on how political, economic and social structures interact on the urban, local and global scale.
This intensive program is aimed at students with some background in gender studies or a related field. It provides them with expertise in gender theory and scholarship and encourages critical analyses of gender in relation to ethnicity, culture, nation, sexuality and class.
Designed for students with a three-year bachelor’s or with limited background in gender studies, this program offers students a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach to gender on both local and global levels.
GEMMA is an inter-university Erasmus Mundus program in gender studies offering double diplomas from a student’s home and partner institution.
Offered jointly with the Department of Gender Studies, this program provides expertise in women’s and gender history as well as European history.
