Programme Aims

This programme aims to offer experienced registered nurses the opportunity to develop the necessary knowledge, understanding and competencies for advanced practice roles.

Programme Characteristics

Registered nurses with Bachelor's degrees in nursing gain a clinical edge while studying at PolyU. Graduates are able to:

‌•Become Advanced Practising Nurses;
‌•Meet the demands of healthcare reform in Hong Kong;
‌•Critically analyse and evaluate ongoing professional practices;
‌•Establish innovative projects to facilitate preventive, curative, and rehabilitative client care; and
‌•Choose a clinical option and/or a research dissertation.

The Master of Science in Nursing programme leads to specialisation and a leadership role in Nursing.

Other Information

Most subjects are offered in the evening, and some are offered during the summer semester. Students may have to undertake field placements for certain subjects.
