We've been helping students find the right postgraduate course for over a decade.
Masters degrees in Higher Education equip postgraduates with the skills to engage with and critically reflect upon the Higher Education system, its internal procedures and policy. This includes an examination of governance, curriculum standards, and the learning process for undergraduate, postgraduate and research degrees.
Courses range from taught MA and MEd (Master of Education) degrees, to vocational MBAs and research-based MRes and MPhil programmes. Entry requirements normally include a relevant undergraduate degree, such as Business, Communications or Education Studies.
Courses in this field are very specialised, offering opportunities for you to focus your studies in areas such as Higher Education Management, professional practise, or curriculum organisation.
For example, you may wish to focus your studies within international study, examining the movement of students between different countries, differences in curriculum organisation and the economic impact of international study across different sectors.
Alternatively, you might explore special needs education and disability assistance within the Higher Education sector. This includes examining policy within universities and other institutions institutions, exploring theory for assistive learning, as well as analysing funding procedures and pitfalls within the sector.
Careers may include governance of a single institution, roles within a Higher Education agency or funding body, or even roles within local government.
