We have 89 Masters Degrees in Games

Masters degrees in Games allow postgraduates to specialise in the study of modern computer entertainment systems and the design techniques behind computerised and digital gaming. Courses range from taught MA and MSc degrees, to research oriented MRes and MPhil programmes. Entry requirements normally include an undergraduate degree in a relevant subject such as Computer Science or Design Technology.

Why study a Masters in Games?

## Depending on your interests, a Masters in Games can either be more design focused, or more computer science based. MA courses are typically more artistic or creative, while MSc courses offer more practical training in computing technology and gaming software. There is however a lot of crossover with these courses, and training covers game creation and development from inception to delivery. This includes methods in 2D and 3D design, character creation, storytelling, CGI (computer-generated imagery) and animation, computing systems, sound recording, clipping and mixing. User-centred development is a key component on all courses, with gaming formats including videogames, virtual reality, and mobile technology such as apps being explored. Consideration is also given to gaming ethics, financial management and business strategies.
