The emphasis is on the management of paediatric patients with cardiorespiratory, neurological and musculoskeletal disorders. Teaching and learning
The programme is delivered through a combination of teaching and self-directed learning, and includes up to six weeks of clinical placements. Assessment is through clinical assessments, written assignments, oral presentations, multiple choice tests, submission of the literature review and research proposal, assessed coursework, unseen and prior disclosure written examinations, and the dissertation with an oral presentation.

Teaching and learning

Assessment is through coursework, unseen and take-home examination, laboratory books, posters and the dissertation.

Fieldwork
Students usually conduct fieldwork over the summer after the end of the third term. The research carried out will inform the final dissertation.

The MRes enhances the profile of students who already have a strong background in anthropology by training them in professional skills, statistics and various other social science methods.
