We've been helping students find the right postgraduate course for over a decade.
The School of Geography and Environmental Sciences at Ulster University has a long established and successful record of teaching and research. We have been offering innovative, fully online, distance learning Master’s programmes since 2000 and we have a rich and diverse student body studying in all parts of the world.
In addition, many modules making up these programmes may be taken individually for Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Our extensive experience in online course delivery means that we consistently get high student satisfaction levels and positive feedback from past and present students.
“The course met my expectations and more. I was put out of my comfort zone a lot with learning new areas… but thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Doing this course has already had a positive impact on my career and a big thank you to all the staff and fellow students who helped with great support. I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience.”

Our students enrol for these courses to develop their professional knowledge and to acquire new skills. They do this to improve their career and promotion prospects, change their career or, if they are recently graduated, to specialise in a specific subject area to enhance their job prospects. Our graduates work in diverse roles in a wide range of sectors, including environmental agencies and consultancies, renewable energy companies, marine resource management, local government and town planning, mineral exploitation and the oil industry and GIS companies, among others.
The fees for the Masters are £6,080 for students from the UK, Ireland and EU (2020-21 entry), or £4,054 for the Postgraduate Diploma. International students pay £14,480 for the Masters or £9,653 for the PgDip.
Fees can be paid by instalments. See www.ulster.ac.uk/study/postgraduate/fees for further information on fees.
