The course supports conversion to neuroscience from related disciplines. The six-month practical research project helps prepare students for PhD study, and develops transferable professional skills such as critical thinking and science communication.

MRes in Neuroscience

This MRes is ideal for you if you have a strong academic record in neuroscience and plan to pursue an academic career. You will undertake two four-month practical research projects, chosen from a range of topics spanning contemporary neuroscience. A wide choice of taught modules is also offered, together with core modules to help you deepen your knowledge, build your laboratory experience and strengthen your research skills.

MRes in Animal Behaviour

This MRes is based around an in-depth research project which will provide you with advanced knowledge and research skills in areas of animal behaviour; from sexual selection and social behaviour, to animal navigation and neuroethology.  This course will place you in a strong position to move on to a PhD in animal behaviour or a research career in associated areas.

MRes in Conservation Biology

This MRes is based around an in-depth research project in conservation biology. You'll gain an advanced, global outlook on conservation and approaches to the challenges facing nature. The degree will enable you to move on to a PhD, as well as providing you with the knowledge and skills required for a career in conservation biology.

MRes in Evolutionary Biology
