Study infectious diseases

From flu to malaria to HIV/AIDS: wherever we are, we are confronted by infectious diseases. Emerging zoonotic diseases such as Ebola or Zika are making the headlines more frequently and there is an increased need for health workers with the right set of skills to help prevent and control future outbreaks.

Our Master's programmes including One HealthMedical MicrobiologyMedical ParasitologyMedical Entomology for Disease ControlImmunology of Infectious Diseases and Control of Infectious Diseases will help you understand what causes diseases, how they spread and how we can control and prevent them.

Study population health

The school offers a wide range of master's programmes in population health including epidemiologymedical statisticsnutritionglobal mental health or Europe's only course in Demography & Health.

Study public health

We also have a large public health programme offered in London or by distance learning, allowing students to specialise in various areas such as environment, health services management, health promotion or health economics. Other public health master's on offer include the MSc Health Policy, Planning and Financing (run with LSE) and Public Health for Development.
