We've been helping students find the right postgraduate course for over a decade.
The School of Politics and International Relations at Kent is one of the most dynamic places to study Politics and International Relations. We combine high quality teaching with cutting-edge research in a supportive environment that welcomes students from all over the world.
We pride ourselves on our global outlook, which is reflected in our wide range of international partnerships. We are the only politics and international relations school in the country with a postgraduate centre in Brussels, which allows students on some of our programme to follow part, or all, of their programme in Brussels. Agreements with partner institutions in Germany and Russia enable us to offer a Double Award version of the MA in International Relations, and a joint MA programme in Peace and Conflict Studies.
All our teaching is underpinned by the research interests of our academic staff. This means that you will be taught by leading experts in each particular field, who are currently engaged in writing papers, books and articles, attending conferences and playing a significant role in the development of modern political thought. The size and strength of our academic body generates a vibrant research culture and has led to the existence of three University-recognised research centres: the Conflict Analysis Research Centre (CARC), the Global Europe Centre (GEC) and the Centre for Critical Thought (CCT).
Why our students choose us:
The University has a scholarship fund in excess of £12 million to support our postgraduate community. We have full awards to support doctoral research candidates, tuition fee awards for those studying taught Master's and loyalty discounts for our alumni.
Come along to an Open Day and discuss your options with specialist academics and admissions staff.
