The School of Chemical and Process Engineering is globally renowned for its teaching and research with an established reputation across the entire spectrum of chemical, energy, petroleum, nuclear engineering and aviation technology. We have just over 1,000 students from over 70 countries studying with us, which makes us one of the largest integrated engineering schools in Europe. We’re ranked Top 10 in the UK by the Complete University Guide and The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019.
Our multidisciplinary research is delivered via three research groups, across advanced engineering materials, sustainable systems and processes and innovative manufacturing and products. The School is home to a range of facilities and a large community of passionate research staff and students. In the latest Research Excellence Framework, 100% of our research environment was conducive to producing research of ‘world-leading’ or ‘internationally excellent’ quality.
