Bangor Law School is a research-focused school offering a range of cutting-edge LLM, MBA and MA programmes that are tailored to equip students with the legal knowledge and competencies required in an increasingly global workplace.

‘Outstanding’ teaching and amongst the best in the UK

In the 2017 TEF (Teaching Excellence Framework), Bangor University was awarded the Gold standard for consistently delivering outstanding teaching, learning and outcomes for its students. Bangor was amongst the first set of universities, and the only one in Wales, to be awarded Gold in 2017.

Degrees offered

We offer a range of specialist taught LLM Masters degrees, as well as joint programmes with Bangor Business School, which is consistently ranked within the top 25 institutions in the world for Banking research (RePEc).

Alongside our taught postgraduate programmes, we also offer the research degrees of LLM Res, MPhil and PhD.

Most of the Masters programmes offer the option of a January start date, as well as the traditional September intake.

Careers and Employability

We aim to add real value to the traditional degree through a series of extracurricular activities designed to improve students’ career prospects. These include an internship scheme, mooting (mock trials), an annual careers fair and regular guest lectures.
