The MSc in Precision Medicine offers state-of-the-art knowledge relating to mechanistic understanding of disease and technologies that detect, diagnose and specifically treat causal factors of disease. Students will develop advanced knowledge in all aspects of Precision Medicine including genomics, bioinformatics, structural biology, genetics and epigenetics of disease and their precision diagnosis and treatment, biomedical imaging techniques, nanomedicines; generation and analysis of big data. The MS in Advanced Minimally-Invasive Surgery is a highly innovative, practical-based, and hands-on Masters in Surgery (MS). Students will engage with the cutting-edge of Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR & AR) and Social Media (SoMe) through advanced practical training and tele-mentoring in the fields of robotics and laparoscopy; all provided by some of the world’s most renowned expert surgeons and led by Mr. Manish Chand. The MSc in Advanced Biomedical Imaging, run by UCL’s world renowned Centre for Advanced Biomedical Imaging, provides hands-on experience of cutting edge pre-clinical imaging technologies to detect, monitor and prevent illnesses such as cancer, heart diseases and neurodegeneration. The MSc in Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technologies focuses on the design, development and clinical application of novel rehabilitative and assistive technologies, allowing students to engage in research-based learning and work on real-world medical engineering projects which are driven by clinical need. The programme is delivered by the Aspire Create team, which is engineering the next generation of these technologies, in partnership with clinicians at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH).
