What’s it like to study a Masters in Exeter?

Exeter has been an important regional city throughout England’s history and is the administrative centre for the Devon region. Relative isolation from the rest of the British mainland lead it to industrialise less intensively than other British cities. As a result the city retains many attractive features of its Roman origins as well as its medieval and early modern expansion.

One of the most spectacular of these is the 11th-century Exeter Cathedral, which sits within an expansive green space in the city centre.

While studying a Masters in Exeter you’ll live in an attractive historic city offering a range of modern shopping and entertainment facilities as well as a vibrant nightlife. Exeter is also a great place from which to explore some of the UK’s most beautiful tourist destinations in other parts of Devon and Cornwall.

Travel in and around Exeter is particularly student-friendly; cycling is a very popular and receives additional funding and support from local government. It provides a great (and inexpensive) way of seeing Exeter’s attractive streets and buildings up close, or travelling into the surrounding countryside.
