We are also proud to be the world’s first public value business school. Guided by our progressive public value strategy and principles, we are committed to delivering economic and social improvement through interdisciplinary teaching and research that tackles the grand challenges facing the world today.

Currently ranked sixth for research quality (out of 101 UK business schools), 86% of our output is classed as world-leading, while our research environment came joint first. We are also consistent, as one of only two business schools in the UK to rank in the top 10 in each government research exercise since 1992.

Graduate employability

We are committed to supporting our graduates’ employability and provide significant opportunities to gain real world practical experience through placements, internships and live business projects.

We work closely with the local and national business community to source and provide our students with placement opportunities, but also in other mutually beneficial ways, whether formally through knowledge transfer partnerships, our executive education provision or collaborating on measurable research.

Facilities

As a student with us you’ll benefit from outstanding facilities across three buildings, including Wales’ largest trading room. This Bloomberg-ready modern space is based in our £13.5m Postgraduate Teaching Centre and used extensively on our banking, finance and economics programmes. The Postgraduate Teaching Centre is also home to lecture theatres, seminar rooms, a coffee shop and dedicated postgraduate spaces.

Our programmes

We offer a broad and diverse range of master’s programmes delivered by academics, who are working at the forefront of their disciplines, translate research and experience to the classroom setting, providing students with current and front-line insight and knowledge. Programmes include the Cardiff MBA and a range of specialist master’s across six disciplines including conversion courses in Business Management and Marketing.
