The Department of Psychology is proud of its active and diverse research environment. We have a strong commitment
to investigate and disseminate high quality basic and applied research in psychology.
In the Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) 2008, 80 per cent of our researchers’ work was rated ’internationally
recognised or above’, with 31 per cent of the research outputs rated ’internationally excellent or world-leading’,
with special mention of research in primatology, forensic psychology and visual attention.
At the Department of Psychology you will conduct independent and original study receiving excellent supervision
while immersed in our thriving research environment. You will also have full access to work in our state-of-the-art,
specialised laboratories for research in areas such as observation, psychophysiology, speech and audio interaction,
visual cognition, perception and human movement.
