RESEARCH

Our research interests cover a wide range of mathematical problems including financial mathematics, pricing of financial derivatives, risk estimation, modern analyses, partial differential equations, biomathematics, discrete mathematics, fluid flows, dynamical systems, numerical methods, statistics and probability.

LEARNING AND TEACHING

Our mathematical sciences programmes are delivered through a combination of formal lectures, tutorials, guided reading, private study, and both supervised and unsupervised practical work, which includes mathematical workshop practices as well as more involved projects. In researching your dissertation, you gain skills and experience which will be valuable to your future career. In undertaking your own research you will become an independent thinker who can efficiently and effectively work on challenging problems.
