About the course

Our MA Writing for Screen course will show you how to write the next hit boxset.

At a time when the rapid rise of streaming services is driving an increasing demand for content, our expert staff will guide you as you work on in-depth projects, helping you to develop your position as an original and marketable screenwriter of classic narratives, art film and/or independent film.

You don’t need to have any training in screenwriting to join this course, but you will already be a keen writer.

As you study, we'll encourage you to push yourself, share ideas with your peers, learn from the work of successful screenwriters and consider how your ideas and writing style fit into different global markets.

Entry Requirements

An honours degree or equivalent qualification in the subject or a related discipline

and/or

Relevant work experience, demonstrating your ability to study at postgraduate level.

Consideration will also be given to applicants who can make a strong case for admission in relation to a particular project and can demonstrate their potential to satisfactorily complete the course.
