The interdisciplinary double degree Master program i established jointly by Justus-Liebig University Giessen and Kazan Federal University on the basis of "Transition management" and "General and Strategic management" programs of partner universities. The program is designed to prepare professionals with managerial set of skills, knowledge, and attitude required in rapidly changing economic environment. The Program enables students: - to analyse transformation processes in the context of economic, political, legislative and environmental aspects and to understand the correlation between these subsystems, - to develop decision making and leadership skills, - to solve real-world problems by using integrative management approaches - to design, implement, evaluate and interpret complex interdisciplinary research projects, - to give application-oriented policy reccommendations.
The program participants spend the first academic year at their home university. The third semester they study at the partner university abroad. In KFU the courses are taught both in Russian and English. In the fourth semester the students prepare their master thesis at home universities, which should be written under the suoervision of two professors both from KFU and JLU Giessen. The double degree program is supported by German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
