The Master in Fine Art Theatre Directing programme is the first entirely practice-based Masters programme of its kind in Ireland. It was introduced following extensive consultation with the Irish theatre community and is a direct response to the stated needs of the industry and of talented emerging artists. Candidates should have a good honours degree of upper second class or above, or equivalent qualification in a cognate area. A portfolio of work including a critical assessment of recently directed work is an essential part of the application process.
Proven natural ability and prior experience as demonstrated at interview will also be considered.
Please note that all applicants must include a financial plan in their personal statement which indicates clearly how they intend to finance themselves if successful in gaining a place on this course
