The TQFE is approved by the Scottish Government and General Teaching Council for Scotland. You are taught three courses at level 9 if you are coming from degree or Level 11 if you are coming from a Master''s degree. You study flexibly on site whilst you teach. The online route allows for a small number of participants from different colleges to work together.

There is also a route into this qualification for you if you have a HND or HNC to study the qualification, please ask the School of Education about this. The programme allows you to critically assess your teaching and evaluation methods and to reflect and ensure peer review in your teaching and research to enhance your practice. The programme is available to you wherever you teach in Scotland from the Western Isles, or Shetland down to Jedburgh and Dumfries.
