Transform your surveying career with our distance learning building surveying Masters.

Accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the course will teach you all you need to know to succeed in your building surveyor career.

From developing your knowledge of the key concepts and frameworks related to built environment disciplines to specific building surveying skills - such as how to diagnose building defects, refurbish existing buildings, facilities management, monitor contracts and procurement and beyond - this Masters degree will enhance your professional profile and earning potential.

Our RICS accreditation is a reflection of our high standards of teaching. It also shows that you’ll be learning industry relevant content which can be applied in everyday working life, before and after graduation.

Start in January, April, July or October and gain one of the most respected building surveyor qualifications around.

Distance Learning

As a distance learning student, you can access the same teaching and research facilities as those on campus, while being free to study whenever and wherever you want.

Our eLearning portal, Blackboard Ultra, will offer 24/7 access to an extensive range of building surveyor training materials (from online readings to videos), in-course communication tools (including discussion forums), advice and support services. You’ll also be part of a strong, global student community where you can participate in interactive seminars with tutors, group tasks and more.

A dedicated Student Success Advisor will also be on hand to support you from enrolment to all the way through to graduation. They’ll provide non-academic guidance and advice, helping you hit those important deadlines and get the most out of your time with us.

Read more about the modules you’ll take below. During each, you’ll have regular virtual assessments to help you keep on-track. These will be coursework based and the format may vary but all will be submitted through the eLearning portal.

You’ll have access to our University Library Services, including a book postal service and access to over half a million books and eBooks.
